This post will not introduce you ONLY the same ordinary places.
We will go a little bit deeper, strait to the heart of town :).
Usually, when I travel, or just go in the next first town in my neighborhood, I really like to find out something private of it. Something that makes them special, I like to find out how the other lives, what they like, what they eat at home or what are their customs.
This is how I never forget this people and places.
I will present you some few ''secrets'' of Novi.
In the first place it's look like tourist town, we all rent our homes, rooms, gardens :), but if you look a little bit more inside we just all fallow our neighbors, we like to be in the game of leaving.This time is very popular to rent everything that could be used like room, storage for brooms looks very comfortable in our town :). The most recent sentence is :
''If he can rent, I can rent!" and this is very good, we use it for motivation. We all want to work, not only lay and check what we have on TV ( most recent jokes about Montenegrin are that ''they are lazy people'' :) ).
And, you can see that everybody rent everything that they could. But, I must be honest, it is not only for coping each other is about that it is only job which give us money in shortest way :)so it seems that we are just a little bit lazy in the end :).
The best part is that you can knock on every door and you will have a room for stay, or we will bring you to the next door, easy as that.
Very interesting thing about Novi residents is that we are all just waiting for summer (only period in the year when something is happening), we are all dying for Sun in the winter time. We are sitting in cafe bars and dreaming about swimming and take a cold beer on the beach, but when it finally comes, you can ask each '' Novljanina'' why they aren't enjoying beauty of the summer, they will just tell '' No, it's boring, I see it every day, or I like September more, I will go tomorrow or many other excuses :)". Then you can hear that we are could not wait that October comes, when everybody goes and on promenade you can see only some lost doggies, we dream about June :))).
We are funny and confusing people, a little bit, you can hear opinions that town needs more something, more this or that, but when finally some try to make it, the same wishers will be against it. Funny us :).
We all like our meeting place for cafe time. It is Skver , center of our habits. This is very important place, Sunday the day and chat with our friends. In a case that you will be in the town, period of March or May, you will meet most of us on this event ''cafe and chat on SKver, each Sunday at 12 : 00 am''. Here you can taste the best ice cream in the town, just ask for DO-DO cafe.
Fish dishes are ordinary on our tables, it's not a surprise like we are sea town, but in summer time, during the winter we all have the same Menu:). Around New Year and Christmas each home made
''sarma'' (cabbage rolls), ''kisjeli kupus'' (piked cabbage), ''rastan''( something like green salad with dried meat), home made bread, and this is something that you just need to try, but you will need to visit us in winter period :), too heavy for the beach :).
On hot days, you can try fish soups, mussels, in old town at special place called '' kod Zorza''.

It is not a fancy place, but tasty sure it is.
When is too crowded we run for a day on Rose or Zanjce. This are our heaven on earth :). Summer time for most of us is representing work, work, work, after sleepy bear winter we are running for a few months, so when we see opportunity for be lazy we grab it :). We invent it :).
Just check this beauties lazy Sunday and hide from the crowd :).
